NYFA

Welcome to the NYFA football organization and thank you for your interest.  NYFA offers football (flag ages 4-6 and tackle ages 7-13) for Northglenn and Thornton area youth boys and girls.  The registration cost is $125.00 per child with a $10.00 discount for each additional child from the same family.  There is a mandatory fundraiser that each player must participate in or they can opt out for a $50.00 donation.  Players must present a signed registration form (online or in person) as well as a copy of their birth certificate and physical in order to play.  The NYFA will furnish a tested and approved helmet, game jersey and shoulder pads.  Players are responsible for mouth guards, cleats, pants and all other personal equipment.

ALL REQUIRED FORMS MUST BE HANDED IN BEFORE EQUIPMENT IS HANDED OUT.

Teams are arranged by age groups (7,8,9, etc) with the age cutoff as of 5/31 of the current year.  Teams are placed in divisions based off of their previous year’s regular season records.  Teams are filled by their individual coaches with new incoming players or players from teams that have split or disbanded being placed in a draft to be held two weeks before practices begin.  This will usually occur near the end of July with practices starting in the beginning of August.  Weekly practice times and places are determined by each team’s coach with games usually being held on Saturdays.  Games will last from the end of August through the beginning of November.
